Pedrosa wins a cracking German Grand Prix

Spaniard Dani Pedrosa took a fantastic win in only his second race back after breaking his collarbone with Jorge Lorenzo finishing 2nd and Championship leader Casey Stoner finishing 3rd.

The Start

Pedrosa got away well and led into turn 1 while Lorenzo went round the outside of Stoner to take 2nd place in the race,Dovizioso 4th and Simoncelli 5th.Valentino Rossi made a good start from 16th and had soon moved up into 10th place.

Three Great Battles

Lorenzo then would take the lead from Pedrosa,while Dovizioso brilliantly passed Stoner into the final corner.Dovi then would pass Pedrosa for 2nd place and Stoner also quickly got passed Pedrosa for 3rd place.

Stoner would then take the lead,passing Dovi and Lorenzo to take the lead,Pedrosa would then take 3rd off Dovizioso which left the order like this:Stoner,Lorenzo,Pedrosa,Dovizioso,Simoncelli.

Meanwhile Hayden,Bautista and Rossi were having an epic battle for 7th,constantly swapping positions.

Stoner,Lorenzo and Pedrosa then started to pull away from Simoncelli and Dovizioso who were having an epic battle for 4th place.

Lorenzo took the lead from Stoner and then Pedrosa took 2nd from Stoner as this thrilling three way battle continued.

The Decisive move came with 9 laps to go when Pedrosa got a much better run out of the last corner and passed Lorenzo,Stoner would come through as well with 6 laps to go

Meanwhile Simoncelli,Dovizioso and Spies were having an epic battle for 4th while Bautista,Hayden and Rossi were having a wonderful battle for 7th.

Pedrosa eased away slowly from Stoner and Lorenzo and would took the win by 1.5 seconds,Lorenzo looked like he had blown his chance to take 2nd by running wide at T11 but got a fantastic run through T13,although he was helped by Stoner defending fresh air and Lorenzo brilliantly went up the inside into the final corner to take 2nd place and close the gap in the championship.

Dovizioso took 4th with Spies 5th and Simoncelli 6th,who ran wide after in the final corner after trying to pass Dovi.

Barbera finished 7th on his Suzuki,beating Hayden and Rossi to the line,Hayden 8th,Rossi 9th,Edwards completed the top 10.

Barbera finished an excellent 11th in the end after running wide into the gravel early in the race.Abraham,De Puniet,Crutchlow and Aoyama completed the points scorers.

Toni Elias’ struggles continued finishing 16th,Sylvain Guintoli,who replaced the injured Loris Capirossi finshed last and was lapped.
