Stoner eases to Czech Republic win

Casey Stoner won his sixth race of the season in front at Brno,stretching his Championship lead to 32 points over Jorge Lorenzo who could only finish 4th due to a bad tyre choice.

Dani Pedrosa led away from the start,with Lorenzo 2nd,Dovizioso up to 3rd from 7th on the grid and Stoner 4th.At Turn 4 though Lorenzo took the lead away from Pedrosa with Stoner getting past Dovizioso on Lap 2.

Then on Lap 3,the moments that decided the race,Lorenzo almost crashed at Turn 1 but saved it and was passed by Pedrosa and Stoner but then at Turn 4,Pedrosa crashed out which gifted Stoner the lead,from Lorenzo,Dovizioso,Simoncelli,Spies and Rossi.On Lap 5 Dovi passed Lorenzo with Jorge clearly struggling,a few laps later Simoncelli passed Jorge to take 3rd place.Karl Abraham had a stinker and soon retired with a mechanical problem.Before Abraham’s DNF,Cal Crutchlow crashed out again.

Stoner would very quickly pull away from Dovi,Simoncelli,Lorenzo and Spies with Rossi and Bautsita a couple of seconds further back,However Bautista would bin it at Turn 14 with 6 laps to go and undone the brilliant work he had  done to move through from 14th at the start to 7th,meanwhile Barbera and Elias were having a great battle for 10th position,constantly swapping positions.

Stoner would go on and cruise to victory by over 6 seconds from Dovizioso,Simoncelli,who finally got his first podium,Lorenzo,Spies,Rossi,who returned to form,Hayden,Edwards,Aoyama,Barbera,Elias,De Puniet and Capirossi.
